Leah is an E-RYT200 and RYT 500 (Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance), Certified in Restorative Yoga and is a meditation enthusiast! She loves learning about, participating in and leading guided meditation and leads short meditations during Savasana (Final Relaxation) in her classes. Leah also leads longer guided meditation sessions for summer camps, retreats and workshops.
She discovered yoga when she was in college and a student who, on top of taking more than the average credit hours, was also over-involved in clubs and extracurricular activities and constantly under a lot of stress and did not handle it well. One of her friends suggested she try yoga. It was at that time she took her very first yoga class in the student rec center and became hooked!
After graduating from college, she continued taking yoga classes and it didn’t take long to decide she wanted to become a yoga teacher.
She earned her 200 Hour - Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) program while interning at a camp and retreat center. She graduated from the program and completed her internship in March 2017 and have been teaching yoga in various facilities (like dance studios, breweries, fitness centers, etc.) ever since!
Leah earned her 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in the Fall of 2021 giving her the designation RYT500.
Leah has also taken additional training in Restorative Yoga.
She greatly enjoys the outdoors. In particular, she I likes to go hiking, hammocking, and camping. She believes that spending time outdoors and reconnecting with nature is some of the best self-care we can provide for our souls.
She is a Dog Mom to a half-Chihuahua, half-Mutt, all-attitude, ball of energy! She and her partner and adopted their pup, Mojo, in March of 2019 (you can see their little family picture on her Facebook page.) Mojo quickly became one of the greatest loves of her life.
During the day, Leah works in the insurance industry, but her true passion is yoga and meditation.
